 National Family Health Survey (NFHS) is a large-scale, multi round survey released on 11 Oct 2007, conducted by the International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai designated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Government of India.
 Bihar has the least literacy rate among all the other states in India with 47% (2001 census) and 54.01% (NFHS-3). It is agreeable to us that education is one of the most important factors for economic development and human development.
 This project with applied education will act as an instrument for community development, where there will be an essence of urgent need to develop schools in the area for promoting elementary education and to achieve goals of MDG’S.
 Even though we are setting up this college to provide Higher Education, this initiative will, through its co-curricular activity, address the issue of quality in primary and secondary education MGSW will aid the government and local Panchayats to better implement the Right to Education Act,2009.
 Drop out children will be brought in education net with community mobilization and in a friendly environment through NIOS and IGNOU provisions. We will also focus on children who never went to school and illiterate adults. With the SDG – 2015 guidelines, as part of the MGSW course requirements, our students will work to achieve 100 % literacy in Gaunaha Blocks where the literacy rate is 47 % only.
